Upcoming Live Performances on MORNING BECOMES ECLECTIC with host JASON BENTLEY

Monday, July 12, Get ready for a blazing hot session with The Heavy as they tear through a fiery set of blues and funk-tinged tracks with a nod to their British rock roots on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Tuesday, July 13, Director David Lynch and Danger Mouse (aka Brian Burton) sat down with Morning Becomes Eclectic host Jason Bentley to talk together for the first time about their collaboration on “Dark Night of the Soul.” The conversation was so enlightening that we decided to offer the session as part of KCRW’s half-hour show the Politics of Culture at 2:30pm, but before we do, we’ll hear a highlight on Morning Becomes Eclectic at the top of the 11o’clock hour.

Tuesday, April 13 Pat Grossi is a choirboy-turned-indie pop musician known as Active Child. We’ll host a live session with this newcomer on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.

Wednesday, July 14, What do you get when you cross members of West Coast indie rock favorites Earlimart and Grandaddy? Why Admiral Radley of course! They’ll join Morning Becomes Eclectic for a set of witty rock and elegant art ballads at 11:15am.

Monday, July 19, The New Pornographers are a true super group and we’re thrilled to have the Canadian collective back to Morning Becomes Eclectic to play exuberant, offbeat pop songs from their new release at 11:15am.

Tuesday, July 20, L.A.’s own Voxhaul Broadcast are a band to watch in 2010, creating hook-filled anthems of love and longing. We’ll will be treated to a live session on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am before they head out to The Hammer Museum for the Also I Like To Rock series on Thursday.

Wednesday, July 21, Joshua Tree’s Gram Rabbit bring their desert dance party to our airwaves when they offer psychedelic space rock from their new release “Miracles & Metaphors” on Morning Becomes Eclectic at 11:15am.
