Even though Jason Bentley likes to make fun of this Detroit band’s name, he has taken a liking to their music, particularly the Beatles-eque pop track “Simple Girl.” The duo from car country — Joshua Epstein and Daniel Zott – show a penchant for effervescent pop, but its the simple electronic flourishes they add to their cover of the Beach Boys’ “God Only Knows” that makes it special. The 4-song Horse Power EP, released last week, is their debut recording and we look forward to hearing more from them.
