Last night,U.K. singer-songwriter Corinne Bailey Rae launched her first North American tour in three years at a sold out benefit concert for KCRW. Vibiana, a former cathedral in Downtown LA, was the perfect setting to watch the Grammy-award winning singer. This is the first event of its kind held at the venue. Also, in another first, the performance and an interview hosted by KCRW Music Director Jason Bentley were taped for broadcast on Morning Becomes Eclectic this Friday, April 9. SO, if you didn’t make it to the show, you won’t miss out! Corinne Bailey Rae made her US radio debut on KCRW in 2006 and it was great to welcome her back.

Last but not least, a special thanks to our sponsor Levitt Pavilions for their support. Check them out in Pasadena and MacArthur Park.

KCRW has decided to cancel this Sunday’s Good Food PieFest. We are aware of the campus protests at UCLA and believe it’s in the best interest for all to cancel.
PieFest is a beloved KCRW community event. As such, we will be looking into a possible reschedule and share the details as soon as we can.
