The Pledge Drive is always a whirlwind and we love the energy that the hundreds of volunteers that answer our phones bring into our basement studios.

This year, photographer Jeremiah Garcia stopped by on the final morning during Morning Becomes Eclectic — with host Jason Bentley and fundraising sidekick/fellow KCRW DJ Anne Litt to capture the excitement. Check out the photos below! or poke through all of them on the KCRW Flickr page.

You guys Rock! You make your reporting experience sound easy, we know it's not. Keep up the good work. Congratulations! You do this for love of America, love of People, love of Freedom.

The word cour comes from the French court, an enclosed yard, which derives from the Latin form cortem, the accusative case of cohors, which again means an enclosed yard or the occupants of such a yard. The words yard, court, and Latin hortus (meaning "garden," hence horticulture and orchard), are cognates—all referring to an enclosed space
