2012 has been such an extraordinary year for docs…see my favorites here. And all five Oscar-nominated films are really worthy of the attention.
One of the films is “The Invisible War,” a devastating look at sexual assault in the military. It’s not only a powerful film, but it’s actually changing the way the military deals with the problem.
I had the privilege of speaking with director Kirby Dick and producer Amy Ziering about the film and compling this piece for KCRW’s To The Point. A warning: this story is disturbing and infuriating.
