Join us on Christmas Day for An Afternoon of Stories from KCRW’s Independent Producer Project. We’ve picked the most moving, hilarious, and heartwarming tales of 2013, all produced for KCRW by independent radio artists. You’ll hear about a little-known 1950s Chicano musician, who dominated the East LA music scene while keeping a really big secret. You’ll meet a Palestinian-American actor who changed his identity in order to go on tour with Barbara Streisand. And we’ll take you along on a trip, to the salt flats of Utah where a lapsed Mormon searches for her mother’s ghost.

Bob Carlson, the creator of UnFictional, hosts the afternoon. It all starts atnoon on Christmas Day on 89.9 KCRW. Or, you can stream it on demand from wherever you are this holiday season.
