The results are in! Here is a list of the first, second and third place winners at the 5th Annual Good Food Pie Contest. Baker Sharon Graves received a hat trick for Best Fruit Pie, Best Crust and Best in Show.

Her perfectly prepared apple pie proved that sometimes classic is best.

Recipe: Rhubarb Meringue Pie

Last Pie-A-Day, Kir Jensen spoke on the show about what it’s like to bake desserts in her 8 x 14 foot un-air-conditioned food truck, Sugar Cube, in Portland.

She gave us a recipe for Coffee Mallow Meringue Pie, and this year she’s back with Rhubarb Meringue Pie. It comes from her book The Sugar Cube: 50 Deliciously Twisted Treats from the Sweetest Little Food Cart on the Planet. Jensen got the recipe from a friend whose Norwegian family has been eating rhubarb pie for many decades.
