KCRW volunteer Mari Silva is our resident expert on free food.  Whether it’s a birthday promotion, a coupon or a craft service table on a movie set, she knows where to find it.  The other day at Largo, she stumbled on a promotion for Bob’s Burgers, the new Fox show.  They served – what else? – burgers!

Mari Silva is at it again.  She’s a KCRW volunteer and a college student who loves finding ways to eat for free.  In the last few days she’s had a free dinner courtesy of El Pollo Loco and free ice cream as part of the Make a Wish Foundation’s World’s Largest Ice Cream Social.

KCRW volunteer and free food maven Mari Silva was waiting in line at Rachael Ray’s showcase at South by Southwest in Austin, TX.  She was able to finagle a meatball sub and pulled pork sandwich.  Incidentally, she was waiting to see Neko Case and She and Him.

KCRW volunteer and Good Food guest, Mari Silva, is in Austin for South By Southwest music conference (SXSW).  Mari is known for her ability to find free food.  That skill came in handy on her way to Austin.  She found a Krispy Kreme that gives out free doughnut samples before 10 am.
