Ever wondered what “the stupidest, most inefficient, and funniest way to make butter” was? A group called Pop Soda says that their workout represents just that. Cleverly titled ‘Feel the Churn‘, the workout is a practice in calorie-canceling multi-tasking: participants perform an aerobics workout to ’80’s music while churning butter in plastic jars.

Jimmy Fusil and Mike Wait are the men behind Pop Soda and are also are in a band together. Fusil said that their passion for music and food, as well as seeing the success of workout regimens like Shake Weight showed them that their idea had potential.

Good Food producer Gillian Ferguson attended their recent Feel the Churn event at the Santa Monica Pier in December (listen to full story below.) The duo have also held workouts in Minneapolis, New York, Philadelphia, and Silver Lake.
