If you’re not up to cooking this year (or if you are up to cooking but once you start, you decide you’re not up to it anymore), a long list of LA restaurants is offering classy take-home dinners to serve instead.
Restaurants are offering a range of take-out menus, from full turkey dinners to selections of sides and pies. Those selling full meals will often let you buy sides separately if you don’t need a main course.
But make that choice right away as many outlets will stop taking orders soon.
Offering Full Meals
-Tavern - Organic turkey, Italian broccoli, whipped crème fraîche, et al. You can also dine in for dinner on Thursday.
-Huckleberry has white wine turkey thighs and a host of trendy grains and veggies – farro, quinoa cakes, raw kale salad with golden raisins and pine nuts, and endive salad with apples, bacon and argula.
-Akasha is offering trout and tofu options if you don’t like turkey.
-Farmshop is serving avocado hummus with its bird.
-M Cafe will sell you a macrobiotic Thanksgiving feast – seitan with herbed bread stuffing and cranberry-ginger relish or tempeh with mushroom gravy and wild rice pilaf.
