I don’t know about you but food movies inspire my culinary mojo as much as any cookbook or chef memoir. Babette’s Feast, Tampopo, Eat Drink Man Woman. All moving, strange sometimes dreamlike evocations of how love and/or use of food infects human behavior. So I’m excited to get to spend some time with superb culinarian Michael Voltaggio on Wednesday evening (yes, tomorrow night) talking about food and film. Chef Voltaggio is the current Artist in Residence for the LA Film Fest. He’s picked Bob Giraldi’s Dinner Rush (2000) to spur conversation on the intersection of life, food and movies.
