Cocktail Recipe: Harbor Reef’s Buffalo Milk

Written by

Today on Good Food, KCRW’s Matt Holzman takes us on his sailing adventure to Catalina Island. Matt says that the Harbor Reef’s signature cocktail is called “Buffalo Milk.” According to Matt, “They used to shoot westerns in these parts, and the drink is named after the bovine stars left behind after the movie crews left. Though you can get Buffalo burgers on Catalina from the many that still roam the island, this very sweet drink contains no Buffalo products – you can make it with ingredients from your local market.” A recipe follows…

Half shot of Creme de Cocoa (dark or light)
