Reflecting on The Banana

Written by

Over the weekend I blogged about the Banana Museum, the largest museum in the world dedicated to a single fruit, slated to open in January in La Quinta.  It got me thinking about a certain high school Calculus teacher of mine who on our last day of class eschewed any math instruction for a more practical lesson  – how to peel a banana.  You see, the banana is not a pop-top, on the contrary, that little nub that we yank at is in fact nature’s handle.  I stumbled upon this video which offers a complete demonstration.
