In these difficult economic times, when unemployment is a way of life I thought these songs might be useful whilst trying to gain employment. Thankfully I have a (somewhat) steady job these days but I definitely know the feeling of “I GOTTA GET THAT JOB”. These songs will help you on that long ride to the interview. Oh, and if you don’t get the job there’s always that classic Johnny Paycheck song.

5 Favorite Music Scenes in a Movie

I love the music and I love the movies so, I REALLY LOVE the music and the movies together. Here are a few my personal faves.
1. The Lovin’ Spoonful – ”Do You Believe In Magic” from In America
In the film, directed by Jim Sheridan, the Sullivan family has been having a rough time and are hoping that they will find some good luck in New York City. This song plays as they emerge from the Lincoln Tunnel and into Manhattan. The look on their young daughter’s face as she looks through the car window is absolutely breathtaking. You will believe in magic in a young girl’s heart. (more…)
