5 Steps To Becoming an Independent Radio Producer

Many of the memorable stories that you’ve heard on KCRW airing on programs like The World, Studio 360, Marketplace, or All Things Considered were created by talented radio producers not affiliated with any one radio station or network. Often times, these are the stories that leave you sitting in your car in the driveway, needing to hear the end. A lot of these stories come from producers working in big cities, but some of the stories with the most distinctive point of view come from people in places like Salt Lake City, Bozeman, Montana, or Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
