Movie awards still seem as exciting as they always did, though there’s a lot of argument about what they mean for the movies and the people who make them. I mean the hardware’s nice and all, but there was time when awards made careers and sold tickets. Now, not so much.  And frankly, I’m not sure why.  Nevertheless, it’s nice to see great work acknowledged and pretty people dressed up in their finery, so let’s all tune in.

PS – I know I didn’t include all the different critics awards, the MTV Movie Awards, People’s Choice Awards or the Razzies.
