One of best-kept secrets in LA is the CSPG, or Center For the Study of Political Graphics, a collection of over 70,000 posters produced since WWII in support of  social change movements. The Center is decidedly progressive-leaning but whatever your politics, this collection is fascinating for its demonstration of the power of strong, often hand-drawn, graphics to convey a message. The Center’s current show is “Art Against Empire: Graphic Responses to US Interventions Since World War II,” and  tonight the Executive Director, Carol Brown, will discuss that show and the ” important role and impact political art has had in social-movement building” with the program director, Mary Sutton. The conversation takes place at 7:00PM tonight at the American Friends Service Committee at 634 S. Spring St., Downtown LA.

The subsequent time I learn a blog, I hope that it doesnt disappoint me as much as this one. I mean, I do know it was my option to learn, however I truly thought youd have one thing interesting to say. All I hear is a bunch of whining about something that you can fix when you werent too busy in search of attention.
