5. James Sanders discusses and signs Scenes from the City: Filmmaking in New York

This is an awkward subject for many Angelenos who are worried about runaway production and its effect on L.A.’s economy and psyche. But nevertheless, James Sanders’s book Scenes from the City: Filmmaking in New York is a great look into filmmaking in New York City. James Sanders recently published a more recent edition that includes details on female filmmakers in New York and New York’s role in television, and he’ll be at Book Soup this Monday to talk about it and sign copies.

When: Monday June 2, 2014 7:00 PM

Where: Book Soup; 8818 W Sunset Blvd, West Hollywood
